1. Operation Routes / Hours

 The map below is the route of Raku Bus No.102 in whole Kyoto city. ( Please note: Unfortunately, all Raku Bus are out of service for an undetermined period of time. )

Raku Bus No.102 connects Ginkauji (silver pavilion) area and Subway Kitaoji station by way of  Kyoto Imperial, Kitano-Tenmangu shrine, Kinkakuji temple (golden pavilion).

Between Horikawa-imadegawa bus stop and Kitaoji Bus Terminal bus stop, Raku Bus No.102 runs the same route as Raku Bus No.101.

The bus operating hours is about …

♦ From Ginkakuji-michi bus stop to Kinkakuji :
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

♦ From Kinkakuji-michi bus stop to Ginkakuji :
8:50 a.m. – 5:20 p.m.

This bus is operated every 30 min, so you should check the time table beforehand.

Please note that…

if you move between Ginkakuji and Kinkakuji, bus No.204 is also available.

And, between Kitano-Tenmangu, Kyoto Imperial and Ginkakuji, bus No.203 is available.

Usually, local buses in Kyoto are boarded from the rear door and exited from the front because of paying the fares when you get off.

But, from Mar. 20th, 2020, Raku Bus No.102 are also boarded from the front door, and pay the fares when you get on, to prevent from delay, in addition to Raku Bus No.100 connecting Kyoto Sta. with Ginkakuji Temple.

Ginkakuji temple, Kyoto Imperial, Kitano Tenmangu shrine, Kinkakuji temple and Daitokuji temple.

You can also go to Shimogamo jinja shrine if you don’t mind walking.

(bus ride 21 min between Ginkakuji-michi and Kitano-Tenmangu-mae bus stop, walk 9 min in total)

Ginkakuji temple  Kyoto Imperial

at least 24 min
(bus ride 13 min between Ginkakuji-michi and Karasuma-Imadegawa bus stop, walk 11 min in total)

Kinkakuji temple  Kyoto Imperial :

at least 23 min
(bus ride 15 – 17 min between Kinkakuji-michi and Karasuma-Imadegawa bus stop, walk 8 min in total)

Subway Imadegawa station  Ginkakuji temple :

at least 21 min
(bus ride about 13 min, ride at Karasuma-Imadegawa bus stop, get off at Ginkakuji-michi bus stop, walk 8 min)

Please note that…

on peak season such as cherry blossoms (from the end of March to the beginning of April) or autumun leaves (November), it takes more time to get to each attractions becouse of heavy traffic jam.
