 The map below is the route of Raku Bus No.100 in whole Kyoto city. ( Please note: unfortunately, all Raku Bus are currently out of service for an undetermined period of time. )

Raku Bus No.100 connects Kyoto station and Ginkakuji temple (silver pavilion) by way of Kiyomizu temple, Gion area and Heian Jingu shrine.

The bus operating hours is about …

From Kyoto Station :
7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weekdays), 6:00 p.m. (weekends & holidays)

From Ginkakuji-mae bus stop :
8:00 a.m. – 5:40 p.m. (weekdays), 6:40 p.m. (weekends & holidays)

This bus is operated about every 10 min, so very convenient.

Usually, local buses in Kyoto are boarded from the rear door and exited from the front because of paying the fares when you get off.

But, from March 16, 2019, only Raku Bus No.100 are boarded from the front door, and pay the fares when you get on, to prevent from delay. (March 20, 2020, Raku Bus No.101, 102 are also changed so.)

Please note that…

on peak season such as cherry blossoms (from the end of March to the beginning of April) or autumun leaves (November), it takes more time to get to each attractions becouse of heavy traffic jam.

3. Bus Stop Guide at Kyoto Station

The bus stop for Raku Bus No.100 at Kyoto station is platform D1, near Bus Ticket Center building.

The fare is ¥230 for an adult / ¥120 for a child (6 – 11 yares old) per ride.

No matter where you get off, the fare is the same.

If you ride a bus 4 times a day, you should get Bus One-Day Pass.
(¥700 for an adult / ¥350 for a child).

You can buy the Bus One-Day Pass from vending machines in the Kyoto station bus terminal.
