Rakuraku-line limited express Bus No. 100 connects Kyoto station and Ginkakuji temple (silver pavilion) by way of Kiyomizu temple, Gion area and Heian Jingu shrine.
This bus is limited express, so, it stops at only bus stops near Kiyomizu temple, Gion area, Heian Jingu shrine (Okazaki area) and Ginkakuji temple.
Actually, the travel time is shorter, but the fare is higher, ¥500 per ride for an adult (¥250 for a child), than usual ¥230 (¥120 for a child). So, Subway & Bus One-day Pass will be useful (¥1100).
Please note that this bus is operated only on weekends & holidays.

Usually, local buses in Kyoto are boarded from the rear door and exited from the front because of paying the fares when you get off.
