 The map below is the route of Rakuraku-line Limited Express Bus  No.101 , in whole Kyoto city.

Rakuraku-line limited express Bus  No.101  connects Kyoto station and Kiyomizu temple.
This limited express bus take you directly to the bus stop near Kiyomizu temple, named “Gojo-zaka“.
The fare is higher ¥500 per ride for an adult (¥250 for a child)
than usual ¥230 (¥120 for a child), however, Subway & Bus One-day Pass is available (¥1100), so it will be as useful as another limited express bus  No.100 , when you want to visit Kiyomizu temple.

Please note that this bus is operated every 15 minutes, only morning through noon on weekends & holidays.

From Kyoto Station :
9:00 a.m. – 0:45 p.m. 

From Gojo-zaka (Kiyomizu temple) bus stop :
10:30 a.m. – 0:50 p.m. 

From Kyoto Sta. to Kiyomizu temple, buses are operated every 7 or 8 minutes in the morning, including limited express bus  No.100  bound for Ginkakuji temple (silver pavilion).

Usually, local buses in Kyoto are boarded from the rear door and exited from the front because of paying the fares when you get off.

But, only Rakuraku-line limited express Bus No.101  (& 100) are boarded from the front door, and pay the fares when you get on, to prevent from delay.

Please note that…

on peak season such as cherry blossoms (from the end of March to the beginning of April) or autumun leaves (November), it takes more time to get to each attractions becouse of heavy traffic jam.

3. Bus Stop Guide at Kyoto Station

The bus stop for Rakuraku-line limited express Bus  No.101  at Kyoto station is platform  D1 , near Bus Ticket Center building. It is the same bus stop as another limited express bus  No.100  bound for Ginkakuji temple.

As mentioned before, the fare is ¥500 for an adult / ¥250 for a child (6 – 11 yares old) per ride, and is paid at the time of boarding.
